Rubrics are a great tool, used adequately can enhance learning by providing students with cleear expectations of assignments and feedback after completion. 

The seven principles of learning are an important part of the learning experience. Instructors need to plan, assess, evaluate their teaching methods to ensure students are accountable for their learning.

technology continues to improve our online learning experience. Instructors should ensure students are not only proficient with the technology, but have access to it. While it may be rare to encounter students without access, students may lack access or desire to proper technology. 

I learned that having a sense of community and appropriate communication is imperative to ensure that there is no miscommunication and isolation within the online learning environment.

Instructors and students need to be aware of their online persona. Barriers such as time managemen, disabilities and techn issues can reduce learning and increase student frustration.

I learned that by providing rubrics to students at the beginning of the assignment will provide them with a guide of  what the expectations are. In my line of work, having real world experience is important, and by using tools to evaluate what experience students have aids me to better prepare and expec from my students.

I learned that objective assessment are more of a right or wrong ansewers and should include feedback. Subjective assessment can include essays and con be more instructo driven, but should include the use of rubrics to ensure reliability and vadility. 

I learned that we need to continually assess learning by using formative assessment.  By doing so, we can determine where students are and implement strategies to help struggling students. 

As with everything in life, havi the proper tools is very important. Instructors should be aware of the technology they have available and if any restrictions or barriers. One of the best way to evaluate this is by enlisting students feedback. Instructors should then ensure students feedback is acknowledged and responded upon, or students may feel that their contributions are not needed or heard.

Online communication needs to be interactive and meaningful. Instructors need to acknowledge or inquire any emotion reflected by students to ensure that there are no miscommunicatio.
