Visual Learning

In class just the other day, I noticed that some students were having trouble understanding a topic we were covering. I realized that I could re-format the material and present it in a visual way in order to really show them two different methods of putting it all together. I found this to be really helpful, and will adjust other lessons accordingly in the future.

Many students are anxious and nervous on the first day of class, and especially on test days. these points help to lower the tension of the atmosphere and ensure a healthy start to the course.

This course taught me alot about instruction and classrom dynamics. Each student learns differently, and teaching style an delivery of information is important for student info retention. It is important to be organized and not overwhelm with too much content.

Varying Testing Styles

I find that it is incredibly helpful to switch up testing styles within our class structure. Students often get too used to one style of test, and then can only regurgitate the information for the short term based on the test structure itself. i feel that a more comprehensive method really helps the students to actually learn and retain the information. a combination between kinesthetic 'hands-on' tests, written subjective tests, and then written objective tests works really well for a full scope of testing knowledge.
