Heather, For a testimonial you're right, you want an unbiased response from the person. Therefore holding grades and assessments over some one until they give you a testimonial is not doing the right thing. Kathie Dherit
Discussion Comment
Robert, Right, we shouldn't have to pressure some one to give a testimonial either. Kathie Dherit
Robert, Great comment! Refer to the catalog, handbook, disclosure information, everything the school gives you in order to inform prospective students, or anyone, who is asking questions about the school. The "present it to the prospective candidate in a manner which will be UNDERSTOOD CLEARLY" is great. We can get to a point where we can repeat the facts, but sometimes can miss the "understood clearly" part of it. Not everyone knows our "lingo" we use on a daily basis, we may have to "dumb it down" a bit so others can understand. Kathie Dherit

Michelle, Consistent representation of the school whether that is with admission requirements, disclosures, or general, we can achieve transparency which will result in trust. This trust is what essentially will give us the competitive advantage. Kathie Dherit

Jo Elle, The relationship with the school does need to start on day one. We need to make sure the prospective student knows all the facts to make the informed decision. And if the information is correct, the student can then make the best decision. Kathie Dherit
Raymond (Charlie), Ethics - the difference between what is right and wrong. You are right, we learn that from an early age on, but at times it loses the meaning over the years. Being compliant or ethical should come to us naturally if it is taught to us from the begining. Kathie Dherit

Beverly, By sharing the demands of the program that they enrolling in, we are providing the student with the expectations we have for their success. Kathie Dherit
Mary Ann, You're right, compliance comes down to just telling the truth. Being truthful and backing up that information with documentation. Kathie Dherit
Jennifer, We don't want our students to feel like "a number" but a person. We want them to know that we care about them and are concerned when they lose contact. Our alumni are a great way to bring the community closer, they are the ones out working in the field. They are great contacts for Advisory Boards, field trips and guest speakers. Kathie Dherit
Janis, By giving the students some important information up front helps in making an informed decision. Then by letting them know they can come in for a tour and get a better idea of the school helps us show off the school, a school we should be proud of! Kathie Dherit
