Activity

I was surprised to hear that section IX was enacted in 1972- that is uplifting our industry.  I am glad we continue to revise the standards with modern times.

Active learning truly is the most time efficient way to convey and absorb information.  This presentation gave great tips on how to handle resistance to change.

This opened my eyes to additional "active learning activities" that I previously overlooked- I often use simulation, role play, and critical thinking case studies- I like the idea of debates!

Trial and error has led me to success - I appreciated the wise words and box analogy from the Harvard Professor

I feel more confident on when and where to draw the line in classroom behavior

Being mindful to reflect how you, the instructor, may be coming off to a student and potential negative impressions

Great concrete examples on how to phrase and enforce classroom rules

Great ideas shared! Catchy songs are usually a hit with the students for ways to memorize topics

I love the examples of touring through the circulation of the heart and making cells with jello/candies

I plan to utilize the "event cards" suggestion with my upcoming clinical group as well as "staff surprises" (best and worst observed) - we will vote at end of term from all examples throughout term!
