it is a good idea to do an evauation mid term tosee how the progress is comimg along. It is also a good idea to have the students do a self reflection at this time. To see what they know now versus what they did not know at the beginning of the semeter.

It is ok to have fun in class,to even share a joke with the students. This does not only relief pressure but also helps the students settle in. 

Students come in various categories, I have learned that when you have to use group work, it will be better to have the older adult learners in a group of their own and the younger adult learners in their own groupas well. Also I have learned that when there are frustrations,as the instructor, I can help resolve them by sometimes bringing someone in from the appropriate department to address the iaaue.

I understood why anyone who will be handling cases needs to have some training because they will need to understand why the victims will be able to acting the way they are. If they do not have the training, they may misinterpret the behaviors. 

I have learned that even if a report is not claimed as a criminal offense due tothe nature of evidence available, the campus should still keep the records and help the victim.

I have learned that even  if an act thta is reportable occurs outside of the campus grounds, it is still able to be reported. This is important for the students to know . They also need to know that their privacy will be protected.

I have learned that violence agaisnt students can be in many forms and that we have a representative that can handle these incidents if they occur.

I have learned that lecture does not have to be boring. It can include case studies, group sessions and discussions .I plan to implement these during my lecture sessions.  Also to ensure that each activity is no longer than 15 minutes.

Giving the students time to work together,especially for a new cohort will be very beneficial for the students. Having the studnets introduce themselves will give me the opportunity to learn more about who they are.

It is not a bad idea to come to class as early as 30 minutes before time to get comfortable Syllabus is very important and if you are to write one, I now understand all that needs to be included in it.
