Helen, This is an important point. We have to be really careful about who we share our challenges with. Some people can fuel the fire. Also with coworkers, the complaints we share openly with them can come back to bite us. Dr. Melissa Read

Thomas, I understand where you are coming from. It can be particularly frustrating when we are not aligned with our leadership, and when our leadership is not aligned with each other. Leaning in to goal setting and aligning conversations can be a big help, particularly when we can get everyone in the same room. Dr. Melissa Read
Donna, Yes! it sounds like you have mastered one part of an effective approach. Now it's time to stand on the foundation you have built and get just a touch more efficient. Dr. Melissa Read
William, Yes, it's great to put pen to paper. This is especially true when we have too many tasks on our plates to track in memory. When we put tasks on a list, we get them out of our mind. Dr. Melissa Read

Alicia, It sounds like you are balancing a lot. On one hand, it's nice to be needed. On the other hand, I understand when you need a break too! Dr. Melissa Read
Vicki, Many instructors take the same approach so I understand where you are coming from. Sometimes it's nice to make a little progress on low priority tasks, knocking them out of our queues to make room for the larger, more stressful, activities. Dr. Melissa Read
Karen, Those sound like healthy steps in coping with stress. It sounds like you have many wonderful outlets. That's great to hear. Diversifying your outlets can help ensure that there's always an available outlet. For example, if you exercise outside, this outlet might not be available in the winter time or hot summer. Listening to music is likely a more year round activity. Dr. Melissa Read
Rachel, That sounds like a healthy approach. Sounds like some of your priority tasks never make it onto your list because they just get processed. This system likely works well in situations when you only have a few priority tasks coming into your queue. Dr. Melissa Read
Kurtis, It sounds like you've been taking a productive approach from the start. That's wonderful to hear. This being said, I imagine there is always room for improvement. Dr. Melissa Read
Denise, Well if that's the greatest stress you experience, you are probably doing ok! Yes, yoga is a wonderful outlet, a calming activity that we certainly look forward to. Dr. Melissa Read
