Richard, All good points. I wonder if your son's math teacher would feel that it would take a concerted effort on the part of the teacher as well as the high school as a whole. Mark, I use PowerPoint as well. Recently students have expressed that they are pretty well "PowerPointed Out". Even though that's not a real word, hopefully you get the point. Think of some other ways of accomplishing the same thing in your classroom. Dr. Moody Crews

Jean, These are all great ideas. Have you thought about some less traditional activities that students could do outside the classroom. Reading, outlining, listing, etc. are all fine tools but think about some more experiential things that students might be able to do. They could still bring that learning experience into the classroom to discuss and share with other students. Dr. Moody Crews
