Matching up the gifts of one student to the weaknesses of another complements both the one with the disability and those with weaknesses
I have found pairing up those who excel with those who are struggling has given a better boost to class unity and morale

I have found being diverse with age, ethnicity, and educational level produces a much greater outcome
Making eye contact keeps the students more aware of the instructor and where they are. It makes them more attentive
This takes creativity on the insturctor's part but also requires the attention of the student; finding the correct "tools" ensures all students can be motivated

Isn't that called a mental health day?? Renergizing what you are teaching sometimes takes a "look back" at what the students did learn thus far. Knowing what you have been effective at gives you a "boost" to the next step

The responsibility of the instructor is to motivate and show respect and care for each student. Find what motivates the student and utilize it.
After a brief understanding of where each adult learner's experience, I have found utilizing it to enhance or affirm their motivations for taking the class has made a difference.
It never ceases to amaze me not matter how consistent you are as an instructor, student perceptions are unpredictable; reinforcement of the role as the instructor versus the role of the student has helped clear up confusion

I have found standing in the back of the class, and/or walking throughout the class throughout the quiz/test time has put a "watch" in the class. I have also distributed 3 versions of the test/quiz as they sit two at a table it adds a third variable to the test.
