Wow..this course certainly applied to my environment.  Many of the students are self-motivated adults and require a different approach than some of the younger students.  Many of the listening skills are applied everyday in the Lab and the Cklassroom.

I find that I must be careful to remain active to student needs when listening to them. It gives value to their question.

We are all motivated in particular ways.  Having students come to me with positive feedback is one of my greatest motivators.

Each of us must developa strategy for dealing with the stress we face every day.  In order to do this I find time to relax away from the workplace.  Enjoying simple pleasures have given me a great sense of calm that helps me in all facets of life.

I didn't realize that some of the techniques of questioning in the class room could have such adramatic effect on my students. As I began to refine my practices, I saw immediate results in class participation.

Looks like this course could be useful to all of us in the understanding of how to improve the use of types of questions.  We need all the tools that we can get to expand the student"s training. 

So often in the classroom, we tend to generalize our questioning concerning content to "Are there any questions?" If I want to get more response from students I will use oopen questions and encourage the students to give their perception of how the content can be applied to the actual work that will be performed in the Lab.

Lately, I have been struggling with students who simpply time out of class because of the smallest difficulty. How can we intercept these students, when they don't seem to care enough to tough it out and finish the course?
