Tell Tell Tell ; From what we are taught here to help with student learning is, Students are told 6 times to help in the memorization process. We tell them what we are going to do. We tell them why. We tell them how, and then we tell them all over again.

One of our companies saying here is: We are Changing Lives One person at a time to help people achieve their dreams. Example, we have people in place to help students with life’s obstacles. When a student is having issues, we are able to step in and help with Financial Aid, Employment Services, ect…..

How to be a positive mentor. Listen and respond to students needs in the class room and out of the class room. Everyone has personal issues, but it is very to stay positive.

This is a subject that I know will make people mad. It always does! Stress is something that people bring on to themselves. How people conduct their own lives is how stress will affect them. Things like procrastination or not having projects organized by importance will cause stress. Waiting until the last minute to get task completed will also be stressful. The list goes on and on….

Office space; I do not agree with having dividing lines in a shared office. I believe in team work. Even though everyone has their own job, when a task need to be completed sometimes we have to invade others to be successful. Helping others with tasks bring team work together and help build camaraderie
Time management is the key to make sure things are done correctly and in a timely manner. In my opinion the first thing that needs to be done is to prioritize the list. Find the hardest task and work toward the easiest task. Once the larger tasks are completed everything thing else should fall in place.
Learning disabilities: Students with learning disabilities (from what I found) need more time because they want to understand more than what is presented to them. The student will take the information given to them and dissect it into many different pieces of information.

Life experiences: By using life experiences in the class room, the students will validate information by other student’s life experiences. When you have one student agreeing with the instructor or professor then more of the students start to follow along better.
Groups and Diversity: By dividing students into groups with using diversity each student’s life’s experience will and to the other student’s education.

Maintaining eye contact is very important. You do not want to turn things into a staring contest but you want the students to know you want them in the conversation (lecture).
