I'm not in admissions but had to take the course and I too learned a lot. I am glad I don't do admissions beacause you guys have way too much to remember and the chances of making a mistake inadvertantly are huge. Good Luck with your job and I'm really glad your doing it!

A lot of it was review but from so long ago I had forgotten it. It was good to have it brought forward in my mond so that I will do it right from now on not just hit and miss.

Ed 204 Tomorrow's Learning Environment Today

I enjoyed it too and was amazed at the short attention span. I have a new class coming up in a few days and have added a "stand By your Quote" and BINGO activity to break up the power point. I ook foreward to seeing wht they think of this class compared to the last one I taught where I wasn't allowed to do anything original.

Knowledge

It was mandatory for me. But at least it is over. I did get a couple of usefull papers from the discussion groups along the way but other than that I don't recruit so this is of periferal use to me.

Creating a Culture of Employability: Best Practices in Career Services

I agree that the student's goal is to get a job but I still think my job is to give them the knowledge and skills they need to do the job and that takes precedence over getting a job. It does no one any good to get a job if you don't have the skills and knowledge needed to do the job. Sorry but I just had this argument with my boss yesterday who wanted me to spend 5 of my 7 days of class on resumes and interviews. I agree it is important but not to the extent that… >>>
