Chanel, I agree...do you have examples of what you mean by "variety"? Input, output, interaction, engagement...or all of the above? :) Dr. Ruth Reynard
David, Yes, there are generational challenges as we try to understand each other...in the face of the reality of new techology, however, these challenges like others are being pushed more strongly. In other words, whether or not it is intuitive to one group, we are all interconnected now and openly communicating, so we must be willing to fairly consistently explore beyond all of our comfort zones :) Dr. Ruth Reynard
David, Very true...technology only provides tools. However, do we really value the kind of literacy and critcal thinking that is developing with the use of current technology? Do we still value "older" skills more? Dr. Ruth Reynard

Chanel, Have you had good success using this technology with your students? Dr. Ruth Reynard
Chanel, So the directness changes what, do you think, in learning expectations? Do you think teachers maximize the potential of the technology in their methodology? What do you see are the main challenges to teachers? Dr. Ruth Reynard

James, ...and collaboration is a highly sought-after skill by employers. Dr. Ruth Reynard

Chanel, Very true...as well as direct access to information, however, how do you think the technology enhances the teaching and learning potential? Dr. Ruth Reynard
James, So it is interesting why the potential of the technology is still often ignored and linear instructional designs still preferred - my opinion is that it leads students to frustration as they have an intuitive expectation of high interaction and customization the more they use the technology. Good points... Dr. Ruth Reynard
David, The nomadic characteristics can require coordination, however, as you say, an effective instructional design would target that. Dr. Ruth Reynard

David, Yes, there are fully online versions, physical versions for classrooms as well as projected surfaces. All are basically the same principle of collaborative learning. The wonderful functionality, too, is that screen shots can be captured and distributed for ongoing interaction. Dr. Ruth Reynard
