I have used crossword puzzles and word search in the class before. I also use word part cards, not for the matching, but to make words with the different parts.

Activities

In our class room we use a Jeopardy format and divide the room into teams - Students sem to like the activity and will usually request it. They also like to take the word part cards and make as many terms as they can in a given timeframe. some of the words they come up with can be interesting.
