Donna ,
As an educator, PowerPoint is essential. I also embed many links in my presentations to ensure it does not become to monotonous.

Tonya,
I agree! Personally, I like to quiz at the top of each class, via polling, short ten-question quiz, or otherwise to ensure the material from the previous session was retained. I grade immediately, then review any questions I feel need reviewing.

Theresa Schmitt
Michele,
Is your department chair or Dean involved in the process? Do you have regular meetings in which you discuss the curriculum and program outcomes as well as individual course outcomes? I believe that is the key to success. You need a team to play baseball.

Michele,
I have a large network of graduates and I enjoy reading about their successes and life events, such as marriage and children. Just last week a former student from 2000 contact me and thanked me for being such a strong influence on his life- for reasons both in and out of the classroom. He met his wife in that class and now they have two beautiful children, just celebrated their 8 year wedding anniversary, and are both very successful web designers.
Theresa Schmitt
Ruth Ann,
Promoting networks to our students is critical to their future success and staying abreast of emerging technology and trends in the field.
Thanks for the share!
Theresa Schmitt
Ruth Ann,
Many instructors I know have two accounts- it is really the only way to keep the two separate, though you can limit the posts "groups" have access too. You can create a student group with limited success who cannot read posts to your page, but I still find that a bit risky and not always functional. Designing a course page not linked to your name is always best if you decide to create a page.
Wishing you continued success in the classroom.
Theresa Schmitt
Ruth Ann,
Exactly! My Google Drive is such a time saver. I have used it with students, instructional design teams, and clients when producing video files. I find it extremely useful!
Theresa Schmitt
Ruth Ann,
I see your predicament- you definitely do not want to trust an online source and find it not to be accurate. Perhaps research the publisher of the books you reference and ask if they have an online app that can be purchased for a reasonable fee.
Wishing you continued success in the classroom.
