Phyllis, I agree. The classroom is a mutually beneficial, learning environment. I always try to create assignments that will enable my students to contribute their insight and provide additional examples of subject-related topics. Tremayne Simpson

ELIZABETH, I agree. The "flex time" should be considered whenever discussions are scheduled. It is impossible to predict how much the students will participate or if additional information will be requested during the discussion. Whenever participation is limited, I always add in a few questions to induce more student comments. Tremayne Simpson

Sameena, When you have to present a numerous amount of chapters (in a short amount of time ), I find that it is best to have smaller groups of students present the chapters to the class. With this method, the instructor acts as a "facilitator" and adds missing information to the students' presented chapter. Tremayne Simpson

Jeanne, I agree. "Crossword puzzles" seem to retain their popularity, regardless of the student's generation. Anytime I want to present several new concepts or words to my students, I find that creating a crossword puzzle can be effective in the retention of information. There are several sites that can be used to create-your-own crossword and "word find" puzzles. Tremayne Simpson
Stephanie, Is this quiz based on the information that they should have acquired prior to taking your course? Tremayne Simpson
Amos , At your institution, are instructors provided with the authority to create the learning objectives for their courses or are they determined by Administration? Tremayne Simpson
Lauren, Students can usually tell when instructional materials are "standardized" or have been provided to the instructor. In my experience, students respond better when they feel that they are receiving an "authentic" learning experience. Adding your creativity in the supplemental PowerPoints, has provided your students with an enhanced experience. Tremayne Simpson
Joel, I agree. In addition, it is important that the students have consistency in all of the courses that they take. Tremayne Simpson
Joel, I agree with your statement. What are some of the methods that you use to implement multi-sensory activities, in your course? Tremayne Simpson
