Creating an Evaluation System

When evaluating students, I feel an instructor must use a variety of methods such as multiple choice, true or false, matching choice, and essay questions to make sure the student are being assessed in different ways.

Hi Toufik:
Well, you've decribed a balance of methods, and thats good.

For me, what's important is in the end, I want to feel I've accurately measured the degree of student learning that has occurred, using one, or ten different measuring or evaluation methods.

Also, I want to feel that what I use is fair, consistent, accurate, and provides a true picture of how close to meeting student learning outcomes the students met.

Regards, Barry
