testing
Liked the idea of giving a DIFFERENT test for make-ups.
Hi Francine:
Many instructors feel it's a good practice to review answers on tests as an alternate way of strengthening the student.
By reviewing the rationale, the student may be able to answer questions better the next time.

I feel reviewing the test offen helps them retain the answers they missed the first time
Hi Dominic:
I veiw testing as simply a measure of the degree a students learning has occured. If we can convey to students that we're only trying to measure their performance, perhaps some students would be less anxious about testing.
There way to minimize test anxiety such as good preparation, good review, pretesting, practice exams, students quizzing one another, etc. The key is to get them to relax about being assessed. If they wre really prepared I think they would look forard to testing!

I agree and reviewing "THHE TEST" doesn't help at all either.
Hi Kelly:
I's important to measure student learning. If there's chance they have access to test questions, a true picture of their performance will not be present.
