Extra Credit!!
My class plays fun games like BINGO or Jeapoardy (information on the games detail what the contents if the class lessons are) and they recieve points for participation
Hi Carlos:
Yeah, I am in agreement with you. If it's worth learning, then we should make it applicable for all students, and add it to th required curriculum.

I think that games that detail the curriculum are more than worthwhile. It reinforces what should be learned. I choose not to give extra credit because I feel that students all had an equal amount of time to accomplish the lesson requirements. Test taking just like extra credit should be on the same playing field.
Hi Shandra:
These activities are fun and make learning a little more enjoable, don't they?
I would give points in a category called "Class Participation", or somewhere other than extra credit. Even a few points can make some students feel other classmates received more (or less) points for this spontaneous activity.
If it's not spontaneous, then, it should be listed in the grading criteria, and discussed at the beginning of the course so that all understand how they will receive a grade in the class.
