extra credits
Extra credits are only allowed after all the regular progects are completed ahead of time and the student wants to do extra work.

I think that wanting to do extra work is terrific. I also think giving crecit is a bit unfair. Your good student who choose not to do extra work, will theyir grades be impacted? How do you fairly grade assignments that arn't planned for? That's where I've had students accuse me of being unfair or showing favoritism.
It's fot these reasons I just don't give it. If it's important, I require it for all, and grade similarly for all too.
