Creating an Evaluation system

As an instructor I belive and evaluation should be done twice a month. After the first two weeks the students need to have an idea of how they are doing in the course, and that will determine if tutorting is needed, and at the end of the last two weeks the student will see how he/she has improved.

Hi Georgia:
For me evaluations are dynamic, based on factors and the emphasis each individual class gets.

I think evaluations are to measure to what degree did the student achieve the stated learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Besides these, are there skill or performance based knowledge that needs measuring.

Overall, I need to ask "are these students prepared to go to work, based on the information I've presented?" So, creating an evaluation system may have many components used to adequately measure the material, but in the end, assurance that a fair and accurate measurement system has been used to document satisfactory completion.
