Informing students of their status.

I keep my students informed of their current status at least every two weeks. Problem learners are advised by me to use a student tutor and readjust their learning styles. Students may also meet with me during specified office hours.

Janelle,
This sounds like a great tool. It's current, informative, thorough, and well received by your students. Although your classes are smaller, I'm sure your students benefit this effort!

I keep a student progress report on each one of my students for each different module taught. At the beginning of each module, I also make a copy of the same student progress report for each one of my students so they can individually also keep track of each weekly assignment due, their points scored, and their progress / percentages that they make as each week goes by. This is a very detailed and informative sheet as it details exactly what is due each week in addition to the different happenings of each individual week. The feedback I have received from the students has told me that they love being able to keep track of their progress and assignments week by week, and they also like being able to know in advance exactly what is due and expected of them each week. In addition, it helps them to pace themselves through each module. I also try to meet with each individual on a weekly basis just to be sure that they're staying on track. (I work with smaller-sized classes, so it's a bit easier to do this than with a larger class.)

I am currently teaching in the clinical setting. I try to inform my students every time they do not achieve a satisfactory score so they are able to prevent an unsatisfactory rating in the future.

We have the capability to print out a progress report of their grades and give it to them in paper form.

I always try and make the time to meet with my students, especially those who have concerns with their status.

I usually keep my students informed on a regular basis.
