Evaluating Your Students
I believe that the grading is a critical piece of the learning process. You need to give feedback on wrong answers when correcting homework assignments, as this will assist them in studying for their test. Either make the wrong answers a lecture the next class period or make sure they are seeing their assignments in a timely manner, is an important tasks that some times is not taken as serious as it needs to be.
Nanette,
Evaluation involves a lot of methods and steps. I agree that sharing the correct answer AND why the other choices were incorrect is a great way to review test results.

You should give feedback on wrong answer. If you do not let the studnet know why they got a wrong answer it doesn't allow them to learn and understand the right process of getting an aswer correct. We learn for are mistakes.
Kelly,
Absoultely! We want to make sure that any grading system we use acurately measures student learning. Of course, assessment must be preceded by effective instruction of pertinent content. Together, we assure students get the needed information and that we are measuring it effectively.
