be able to understand yourself
if you are able to understand yourself you can be cinfident that every one of your student does as well
Hi Carmela:
Yes, it's amazing how perceptive students are to our actions and behavior. We need to be cognizant of this fact as we try to portray ourselves as good role models.
But everyonemake mistakes, and minimizing it is an appropriate response in order to move on with the lesson.

I do like the statement in this module that when making an error smile and take it lightly as a result students will not focus so much on it. I never thought of it that way, but if we think about it, we do the same with small children when they use a curse word or do something they shouldn't do. We try to draw little attention to that area so that the child does not continue that behavior for attention. Guess it still works with adults too.
Hi John:
Yes! Student want, appreciate, and will respect a teacher who admits their mistakes.

understanding yourself begins with many factors, one of the most important factors is honesty, when you skrew up, be honest with yourself, apologize to the class, then move on.
Hi Mau:
Many teachers have some ability and knowledge but are not fully effective as instructors. They have "blind spots" that appear in the classroom and therefore, interfere with the students education. Good instructors will strive to find where thos performance deficiencies lie and work towards improving them. Better instructors have a realistic grasp on their strengths and weaknesses, both as individual and instructional facilitators.
