Quest speakers
Quest speakers are an added bonus to the class. The students can hear real life stories about their career opportunities
Hi Adam:
Guest speakers can be a life saver for a particularly dull topic. Even better if the GS is able to talk about an application of some concept out in the work force.

I believe that guest speakers add so much to the students educational experience! Students recieve the opportunity to explore another side of learning outside the structure of lecture and books. Guest speakers share information from a special area interest that may have not otherwise been learned by the student.
Hi Patricia:
Very nice. The guest speaker creates a unique learning environment. If the speaker is enthusiastic, students will be attracted to this "light", and be much more involved and willing to give their attention and focus.

Hi Brenda:
Great. I like guest speakers too. Their slightly diffent slant on things can re-invigorate an otherwise dull or un-inspired class. Being able to ask questions from someone who works in the field has a force unlike most other teaching methods.

I really enjoy using quest speakers in my classes because they do help the students apply their new skills to their future careers. I also find that the speakers are very motivational for the students really helping them to focus on their goals and why they have decided to take this journey.
I believe this should read guest speakers. I use guest speakers a lot. For example I have a pulmonary doctor come in and teach chest x-rays - this gives my students great information, and examples of X-rays, but also involves them with another professional in the medical field. I could teach this but the student really pay closer attention when I bring Dr. M into the room.
