Establish new and exciting field trips!

I love the idea of being able to take your students on field trips. I think most of the time Instructors don't realize that they have that option.

Hi Fran:
Field trips really are a graet learning adjunct. They can inspire, motivate, create interest, and even improve student performance due to their effect of renewing the enthusiasm and hope students felt when they first enrolled.

I think field trips are a great idea it gives the student a chance to see first hand what we've been taling about in class. GREAT IDEA

Hi Donald:
Super suggestion! Most well planned field trips really don't necessarily have to be planned to be exciting, they just turn out to be exciting for many of the students in attendance. These activities can be very inspirational, motivate even good students to want to do better, and provide all with a glimpse into a possible future - and that can generate hope for future success.

One of the great things about being a military instructor is you can combine a field trip/ guest lecturer into the same event. Many military battlefield here in the U.S. are National parks and have resident historians and/or tour guides. The students really enjoy the interaction and seeing where the events took place.

Hi Sharon:
Yes, Field trips can truely inspiring and motivate students who may have adopted just a so-so attitude about class. These take time to plan, but usually they are well worth the effort.

fEILD TRIPS ARE VERY MOTIVATING AND GIVE STUDENTS AN IDEA OF WHAT THEY ARE STUDYING A REALALISTIC POINT OF VIEW
