Being prepared for classroom is key to the students success

I believe that students learn greatly by the example that is laid out by the Instructor. An Instructor who is ill prepared, is setting a horrible example for the student who already struggles with priorities and being prepared for everyday life issues.

Billie,
Yes - how awful for an instructor to add to the chaos in some students lives. Students strive to sort out course material and make sense of it. Besides preparing with more than enough material, I try to frequently check for understanding and give updates, as in "here's where we are". We can be organized in our delivery but some students need help with organizing the material in their minds. The update helps this.
