Informal Observsation
At my school I often do informal ops to see what other instructors are doing and how it relates to things I have done or may try.
Yvette,
I always benefit from observing in another classroom, as nearly never are the circumstances or characteristics of the class the same. I feel fortunate part of my job is to regularly perform classroom observations on about 10 different individuals, several times a year. It's always great to reflect on my own style and preferences about how I conduct my own classes.

It's a great time to visit other instructor classes to watch there styles. We also do learning observation on instructor. This allows us to talk about what we observed.
Shannon,
You're taking advantage of a great opportunity. I am amazed how I get something out of every classroom observation experience, even when the program is unrelated to my own. I wish I had more time to devote to this important "continuous quality improvement" activity.
