Hi Berry
Who doesn't love jeopardy!!!.
I have some down time to get this together and try.
Thanks a bunch.
This is great stuff. I will start pulling my final out and get some things ready so when my students return from holiday break I will be ready.
Thanks for the info. I have heard of this before but never was interested in getting it all together. honestly I really never had time.
Thanks again.
Kimberly
I use games to review for final exams and challenging exams/material. My favorite is Jeopardy. I gather material and put it the form of an answer and they must answer in the form of a question. We break up into groups and each group has a leader and all must help with coming up with the answers. I change the rules if i have a silent student and then each person in the group must answer a question. I am going to change up this term and do one for lab where they are voted off for doing a procedure like Dancing with the stars. Just use the game shows on TV and have fun!
Hi Kimberly:
Many techniques are available. Here's one: Break the students into groups and have the groups participate in a "jeopardy-style" contest of content specific material. Each group prepares, then presents a list of questions that's related to the topic. Each group gets a simililar opportunity. The winner is the group that gets the most questions correct. May sound too simple. But believe me, students are competitive and enjoy this and related "games".
