Powerpoint
I am so unfamiliar w/Power Point. Is there a simple tutorial on how to best use it for teaching?
Hi Blanca:
That's a great idea. Too many instructors use powerpoints to exclusively provide the information they are teaching.
What you describe is an effective method to have the student process the information for themselves.

I found that ppt are a great way for my students to use as an outline of what I am talking about. I like to leave room for students to make notes and add to what I am teaching about. Making their own notes helps them understand my subject better.
Hi Don:
PPT is really very simple to use for basic slides. As one practices, they learn little helps here and there and gradually improve.
In a way, basic slides is all anyone needs. Keep it simple. PPT can be a powerful tool but it can also be a simple tool that does the job adequetly.
You can get helps from the help menu included with PPT program.
