I teach at a local technical school that has a very diverse group of students. Many of my students have issues with English skills. This class I am instructing now has the whole spectrum of learning capabilities. What are ways you can address the needs of your limited students, while not frustrating the others who are beyond that.

Hi Athena:
One method is the use of pretesting. In this way, you can find out where your students are at and then get creative in how you can reach the bulk of your students most of the time.

Another technique is grouping; pair up students in groups that you think will be beneficial, such as strong and weak together or weaker students working on one assignment while stronger students are working on a different asssignment.
