Agreed! When I'm sitting in on other instructors and in mandatory all faculty meetings, I see all too often the PowerPoint on the screen with the presenter reading from the screen verbatim. The point of the PPT is to highlight the main points to expand upon. I find it to be incredibly boring and inefficient to ead the screen exactly. Not to mention that it seems like a giant waste of time. If I feel that way, then I know my students would feel that way as well. I love using PPTs, but what really counts is that they are used correctly.
