Different media
What do you do when you are not comfortable with the newer medias around today?
Bernard,
Yes, it takes time and planning for good classes to become great ones.

I reserve time to review and practice outside of class. Review and practice is key in developing skills with new technology.
You can come and ask me! Or you know have someone show you how to use new media. Or you can even have them come in and run the media for you and say they are observing!
Ask for training on how to use the media, or just do the traditional "trial and error" approach. Change is good, but to those who are "stuck in their ways", they approach change as argumentatively being something unnecessary. As a former instructor in the public sector, I have seen this behavior with tenured instructors who resist new philosophies, teaching strategies, and educational hardware/software. We are called to be flexible, and while this initially might seem to be an achilles heel, adapting to change is quite necessary.
I've found if you force yourself to use those medias it increases your comfort level exponentially.

When I am not comfortable with a new media, I try to learn how to use it. Usually there is a friend or a coworker who has used it before and they are always willing to share their knowledge.
