Whats great about this is the students become more engaged as participators in their learning, and not just spectators.

I love using flip charts.I give them to students to break down information after reading a chapter. we also do little skits to go with it

There are many different kinds of instruction in different educational settings. A flip chart has value when used appropriatley. The use in collaborative learning is one place I use flip charts. Students are segmented into say, four groups, and each puts their ideas on the chart paper. Then, each groups ideas are discussed (and displayed) by the whole class.
