Since my students have skills they need to learn as well as theory, when I see them losing interest I get to a good stopping point and go to practice labs and we look at skills. I try to tie the skills into the theory we were just discussing. It revives their interest.

Variety keeps interest. Games can be very instructional, and even stimulate parts of the brain that students don't normally use.

Great ideas, we play jeopardy trivia games, work on case studies and do group presentations. All of these really help.

Right! We have to work some to students focused. Involving them physically and mentally will help them more than any talking at them could do.
