Selecting instructional media

It is important to select the correct media for the right course. I will try to indruduce media in my future courses.

Elena,
Seeing is believing! Truly, repetition and practice by visual aids can work wonders, especially in classes where memorization is a larger factor in the student learning.

Media is a powerful tool of lerning. It's proved that people learn 85% fron visual material. It's said that one time to see is better than ten times to hear. That's absolutely true. We still have memory flashes from our childhood when something really cought our attention. To use vieo or PP presentation with a sound effect will greatly increase procents of memorization.

Sarai,
Media selection has the potential to be spot on in contributing to meaningful student learning experiences, while at the same time, being "just nice", but having little to do with learning. It's important to be careful and selective as there is so much media available these days, we want to be sure the "right fit" is achieved.
