A great way to summarize the chapter and to highlight the important concepts is to use a powerpoint presentation

Terry,
Right. And of course we want to to avoid "turning students off" by the use of inappropriate presentation and delivery. PPT can be a devil to students subjected to it if too much information is provided on slides, too many slides at one sitting, improper formatting, or other distracting abuses of this great tool.

True, powerpoint presentation is a good way to provide instructions. Regardless of the method used, the instructor's delivery and presentation of information is key to enhance learning.

Theresa,
I think PPT slides work best when only the material needed is projected, not just because it may be available.

Yes, it a good way to focus student's attention about the content and helps student's to summarize the important information about that patricular chapter.

Angela,
PPT can be a very powerful tool. And, too much at one time, poor formatting, or distracting designs or colors can impair learning. I think a balance of activities along with PPT works best.

My student love powerpoints. It makes for interactive learning and they seem to remember content better.

Guillermina ,
Yes, when main points need to be reviwed, PPT is a great way to use larger fonts and bulleted points to convey the "take home meassage" from a lesson.
