There are varieties of learning styles but also I think all student share common styles that involve hearing, seeing, and tactile. Unless you do extensive learning style inventories on all your students, usualy a class will settle on media that caters to the most students.
But if a student knows they learn better one way over another, and it's reasonable to do so, modifying the lesson to permit using their natural talents will make their learning experience more enjoyable and interesting for them.
