Troubleshooting Instructional Strategies]
THIS WAS FANTASTIC! YES! I have had many situations where students have are:
a little Restless
or I didn't plan enough time for the whole Program class and they get bored.
Or the Assignment was too difficult.
This has given me so much information and material to look into to resolve some of these issues in my class planning.
WOW! AWESOME! AGAIN Best Training yet... I really needed this course... Thank you
Deanna,
I agree. Something I do is at the end of a class, ask "what was the high point, and what the low point of today's lesson?". Another spin on this theme is "what could have been done differently?" Yet another is "what did you learn most from today?". Student feedback, although somewhat subjective, can be a general indication of the need to modify select sections of the lesson material.

I quickly change to a different strategy if I see one isn't working by reading the students' facial expressions and body language. Usually after changing gears the students become more engaged. It is a great feeling for the instructor when he or she realizes that the students are being reached in an effective way.
Carmencita,
Glad you're getting some practical tips for more effective instruction. Each technique can work given the rightmix of instructional planning and student motivation. Together, improved students will be the result.
