delivery of lesson
I agree with the course content being a factor as it relates to determining an instructors' delivery. Some content is better presented using alternate methods.
Elizabeth,
I believe every lesson is unique and different from any in the past. Not that they should be different, but that updating, revising, and modifying lessons to make them current and relevant is an ongoing process. This helps prevent teaching 2-3 year-old information, especially if we want graduates with current work knowledge.

What alternate methods have you used in the past.
I have also found that additional resources must be up to date otherwise that tends to be what the students focus on.
Aimee,
I think the best approach is to try to work with students individually. Some good ol' 1 on 1 can often reveal what the student need is, and more often then not, the solution is realtively easy to correct.

Many students don't yet know their own learning needs. If what they have encountered hasn't been working for them it could be challenging to find a method of getting the information across in an effective manner.
Luciana,
Yes, correct content = successful students. We may have an idea what we want students to learn, but if our plan isn't working we need to be able to modify our plans to accomodate the indiovidual student needs.
