Troubleshooting Instructional Strategies
The best part of Troubleshooting Instructional Strategies
is understanding how to assess the different learning abilities of your class. Then develop your strategies and a way measure their effectiveness. This will help in understanding different techniques to class instructions.
Kim,
Instructors rely on resources that compliment and support the course learning objectives. I only use what I feel is appropriate. If there is valuable information contained in an older video, I'd use it (and maybe have a test or quiz question derived from information in the video). Even new material can be out of sync with the current course topics. It would be unfortunate if an instructor was forced by someone at the school to expose students to outdated material.

How can you gently approach the subject that our videaos are outdated and are laughed at by the students. KIM
Richard,
The best outcome for integrating this strategy is that student's employ critical thinking skills to resolve unknown problems. For the instructor, thinking through what is and is not working also allows creative planning on the instructors end.
