pre test

There are ways to test your students without their knowledge during lecture. Incorporate questions into lecture.

Nadine,
Right! We're interested in doing our best with the information we need to present, delivered to the students we have at the time. And since that varies class to class, a simple or brief pretest can deternine where strenghts and areas needing more or less emphasis are needed.

The pre-test does help to gauge the classes that you have each module...It can help you to do an advanced lesson, marginal lessons, or to take on an attitude of tutoring so the class gets on the same page

Theresa,
Pretesting also helps planning. If students need more time, knowing how to arrange the lessons so that the necessary content is covered can be achieved.

Pre-test are a good source for instructor it allows the instructor to find out the level of learning each student have and how to address the overall needs of the student's in that particular course.

Yahaira,
Right. I call this checking for understanding, wherein I present for a few minutes, then ask specific students questions. Depending on feedback, I can determine if I need to move forward, stay where I am and clarify, or go back and review before going any further.
