night students and homework
I have found that a high percentage of night students have families and also work full time. How successful is the use of homework when it just gets done as a 'busy work' assignment?

Couple of ideas. Why not make homework assignments as meaningful as the lecture portion. Also, for some reason, homework always seems to have a low point value towards the overall grade. Why not raise that percentage as well? In other words, convey that homework is not busy work.
