Getting Your Lesson Ready

you want to get yourself ready to teach the class so you can give the students practical information.

I agree some subject matters need to be planed with more time for Q and A and less time for lecture time in some hard to understand topic

The lesson plan should be concise but full of the information needed to effectivly teach the class for that day. when you write the lesson plan how much time between subjects would you leave time for questions. How much time do you alot for breaks?

You hit the nail on head. When I first started teaching, I thought, I have 30 years experience, I don't need to prepare. That was my first mistake. Now, I know better. I look at my lecture, the day before, create games.
I like that, now, I am going to incorporte information from different resource to enchance their learning interest.

James,

I agree. Flexibility is the key to creating a functional lesson plan. Creating a plan that does not allow time for "unplanned" activities, is not realistic.

In each section of the lesson plan, it is essential that an actual time allocation be affixed to that section. You must allow time for good interruptions like questions and bad interruptions like faulty technology.
