Time management is always a priority. Being left with time and nothing to do makes the students want to leave. I like to circle back if time allows and re-visit the material we covered that day.
if time allows ,i will also go over things for the next step of their training
I agree and do the same!
I also ask students to make a plan of attack for the next days assingment, like how are the going to approach the next weld or what settings work best for their next weld.
I also like to double back and go over important info.
I feel it is very important to do a lesson plan for every class I teach. I know that an idle mind is the devils workshop.... the less free time a student has on thier hand the better
yes james and that is a perfect time for verbal quizes
pipe take offs are always a good thing for them to do if they are not busy.
with nothing to keep them busy they seem to get bored and want to leave. i like to have some worksheets to keep the time going
