We have forms that allow us to evaluate each students progress. By doing this I always know when a student is in need of help.
no, procedure check offs are a way for me to evaluate how well students have advanced in their skills. I can not depend on other students who are still in their learning process as well to evaluate skills that they may be having trouble with themselves.
I agree with you. the procedure check off is the most efficient method to know and determine the progress of the students, to evaluate our job and which can do to improve the student's knowledge.

I feel anything that has a pier's imput should always be anonymous. Even with adults, pressure is on and I find adults are very choosey who they will accept constructive citisism from.

"Peer-induced" checklists can also be a useful form of student assessment. In most cases, students would like to hear a peer's opinion of their work. However, I feel that peer checklists should be anonymous, to ensure that the student is providing "candid" comments.

i like this performance check list, i might think of a way to implement this. Usually we have individual assessments for each student every quarter along with some counseling to determine their current standing in the course.

We also have written and lab performance evaluations that allow us to see how well the students are comprehending.
It all depends on what indusryt we are in. Check of sheets allow the student to assess what they have learned and know that they have hit certain compentencies. Organization is key and a check off list allows both teacher and student to agree on what they have been taught.

I agree. In addition, it is important to have a plan of "intervention", in order to provide support for students that are not doing well in their classes. The "intervention" strategy could be provided by the academic advising team, tutoring center or student services.

These forms are important for keeping students aware of their standing in the class. I've noticed that the student action forms in my college have greatly reduced the failure rate in my classes.

I use this procedure for my General Education courses, as well. I feel that students should have the opportunity to practice learned concepts, soon after they have learned them. Teaching several concepts and assessing later, can negatively impact the student's retention of information.

We have a similar form here. It's good to see who needs focused attention.
We have lecture one day, a lab practicing the skills the following day. It's easy to see from the student's plate of food at the chef's assessment which skill sets need to be improved. We also have a self assessment done by the student and checked by the instructor the following day.

We have a similar process here. We can complete a form about how the student is doing in the class and then present it to the students who need help and guide them towards what they need to be doing.
