career college teaching
Teaching at a career college relies heavily on the Taxonomy of Learning, specifically where I teach, the ultimate goal is correct application of learning. Students need to know what things are, what they do, and, the huge practical portion of our course, how to use them. Career Colleges have to emphasize all three levels in order to get a complete understanding of their field of study.
I also teach at a career college, and we rely heavily on Bloom's Taxonomy on a daily basis. I ask the students to list drugs in certain categories (show knowledge), as well as be able to explain the drugs' main uses (why we choose this drug - Comprehension), as well as choose the correct drug for specific patient needs (Application).
I am also a Career College instructor. I agree that we have to use all levels of Taxonomy.
Jason,
I agree. It is important that instructors synchronize their course content, to the Learning Taxonomy. By doing this, there will be a "natural progression" for the student and at the conclusion of the course they should be able to properly apply the learned information.

As a career college teacher also, I couldn't agree more. We teach a different type of student and must use all levels of Taxonomy.
