Using technology such as power point presentations, YouTube is also helpful by showing videos related to the topic being taught.

by teaching what the real world have to offer in skills and technologies.

Students awareness is always raised when we speak of social media and how it has changed our day to day activities. Teaching an automotive class that allows our IPhone to connect to the car to diagnose problems has generated a new experience for our students.

I agree, that will be one of my goals as well, besides powerpoints, I want to make assignments in which they can use the internet.

As a paralegal instructor, some ways that I add resources to my instructional content include reading case law on a topic and then have the students discuss it with me in class, I will have the students do projects that relate to a given topic or area or law that we are discussing. I also like to utilize westlaw and have them do research through this site on cases and find different components in cases. Lastly, I will give the students a list of vocabulary words that would be important from documents that we are preparing and have them look them up so that they understand the content of the document that they are working on.

I teach at a technical college and we have a great relationship with the vehicle manufacturers. Every year we get the newest in vehicles and the software needed to interact with them . This really drives home the need to stay current on the latest technology as learning never ends .Even when you get out of school.

I am uncomfortable with some technology i.e. computers driven classrooms but am trying to integrate.

One of the projects I have my students do is a research paper on the year they were born. Once the decide what they want to write about, they research that topic and write their paper. The paper ends up being something they thought was important as well as learning some of the important events that happen that year. It is one of the more popular projects

Common denominator is computer and smart phones. Everyone gets more relaxed when these applications can be used and also encouraged to do so. Using external links to further the content and also not rely on single source gives each and every student confidence in learning

We have been actively discussing this topic as our student body has changed and they need more engagement. We are a technology school and have been utilizing computers, smart phones and social media more and more. It is where our student lives and we must add resources that excite them and keep them engaged.

I use my field experience to get my students excited and show them that they will learn more by being out in the field.

I encourage students to utilize primary resources that they find on the internet for papers and presentations. I also utilize articles and book excepts to supplement the texts.

Use whatever means works best for that particular class personality. Guest speakers, especially alumnus, are effective because it not only adds variety, but it also shows proof of class credibility. They don't necessarily need to be in person -- use things they've authored, contributed to, presented, etc.

As a trained librarian the question is really how do you NOT add resources to your content. Additional materials can (and should) included anything that can help a student create connections with what they are learning with what they have learned. I also like using instructional resources to make connections across fields and disciplines

Since we are teaching electronics, I find that the best resourse to bring in is outside presenters. We discuss the technical resourses most of the time and this looses its novelty. We use representatives from local industry as well as graduating students returning from their externship. Both are able to provide students with alternative views and options to consider within their study and career.

We like to use the smart board with projector. There are a lot of online resources available to show in the classroom.

As we are a healthcare training facility this is fairly easy. We have lots of resources to add to the class. Whether it is a blood gas analyzer, EKG, or pulmonary function tester. The students are always interetsted in these resources especially as it relates to their career. When they do get to use these resources their learning goes up dramatically, so we try to incorporate them whenever possible.

These days, there are so many forms of media, and the students are very technologically savvy. Resources that apply to their comfort level often brings about better outcomes. Oftentimes, specifications and such can be found on online databases for example. Inclusion of "modern forms of media" is critical.

I fully endorse and promote social media outlets to my students when we approach topics that have social media items to view and interact with.

I have put professional equipment in the hands of my students and with my close supervision compelled my students to take on the various institutional roles in the Motion Picture Industry. in the course of several hours students served as Director, Camera Person, Dolly Grip and Gaffer. after several of these classes the students seemed to become comfortable in each respective role. I felt this gave them an edge as they not only rotated through the different roles ultimately becoming comfort able running they're own set. They also developed a understanding of multiple roles making them more efficient as they work together as a team and come to learn certain requests may add time they don't have.
