Using technology
This is one are that can be incredibly helpful (At least to me)
I use a combination of guided notes and a presentation for some of my clases.
I use keynote for presentation and remote control the presentation from my phone. The best part is that keynote displays the slide by slide notes I made on my phone.
This gives me the ability to move around the classroom and guide students thru the guided notes.
This way I can hit Visual and auditory learners and some Kinesthetic learners with the guided notes
With technology we can do great things. It's really helpful to improve the way that we teach, to facilitate or make more easy the content for the student's.The videos, powerpoints, and the online class improve the quality of our class; break the distance, time, and language.
A large part of our training is done online with web based courses that give basic knowledge to the student before they see the instructor. It saves a bit of time with lecture that they will want to sleep through, and also allows them to go at their own pace. There are other methods of interaction we have tried to bring information into our classroom and have seen success with most, however with any new technology there are those that abuse it.
Julia,
The internet is an exceptional, educational tool for students. It also gives the instructor and opportunity to discuss the differences in "academic"/"nonacademic" sources and overall information literacy, in research.

I have not thought to use the internet to allow or require my students to look up information pertaining to what they are learning (A&P) to share with the class. However this is a new class for me and the next classes will be better structured with more information given and required.
my students have required video training they do at home.the courses cover the subject matter
Andres,
I also use videos and powerpoints in the class to give the students a different approach of learning. It helps to move around the class so that your students can get involve and allow the instructor to see what is going on.
