Technology Integration
What do you do when the equipment and supplies needed to integrate technology are not supported by the school. Even though administrators want teachers to use new technologies?
our school is full of technology, always new features and parts, important to stay on top of all new technology, as an instructor if very important, also exciting to discuss the new technology.
When I do not have the resources available to me, I try and get creative. I am always writing powerpoints and I am not always able to show them, so I have goten very comfortable with utilizing the printer as well as the student portal. If you have the ability to post content to the student portal, it not only allows you to utilize technology, but also encourages students to use the portal which can help them be better inforamed about what is happening on campus and in their own personal accounts.

Do you have a "Faculty Council"? Many accrediting bodies assume that there is some form of faculty governance in their institutions (career colleges included). A faculty council can raise this issue and provide a proposal to administration that cites the reasoning behind the acquisition of new materials.
