Learning Styles
By integrating many different teaching tools will add variety of learning in the classroom. An instructor should never stand behind the podium and lecture all class, and never just read from a book or power point. You will have many different students in the class with different learning styles that you as an instructor will have to accommodate. Some students learn by audio, while other students will learn by visual, and still another student will learn best by hands on. The instructor will have to demonstrate all of the learning styles in the classroom by using different technology, tools and teaching styles.
Lance,
Excellent point. In addition, interactive activities can serve as assessments for student retention of information.

aNYTIME i CAN i ALWAYS TRY TO DO A HANDS ON DEMONSTRATION. IT IS INTERACTIVE AND i CAN ENGAGE THEM EASIER.
I absolutely agree with your statement. I try to use visual presentations, engage in discussion and encourage feedback. Not every student learns the same so incorporating different styles will ensure that each student will excel.
I have done this with many students, by using sounds or charts even songs to help them with different leraning styles. What is pretty cool is I learn alot from each student I have, which helps me for the next set of students I get.
Hi Ava,
I also believe that it is critical to implement many different resources in the classroom. Learning, as a whole, is moving in a different direction than in the past. With Gardner's theory of multiple intellegences we can implement many different resoruces that will engage individuals of different learning styles. I also believe that lecture has its place but student interaction should also be as important in the classroom.
I completely agree with you, I make a point to accommodate all learning styles in my lesson plans. I am personally a very hands on student, so I know the benefits of having a teacher who acknowledge different styles of learning.
